Lloyd Straugham, "Firpo" after
three telling years of constant prac-
tice at Lake Cliff finally became a.
real spoke in the lracktield movement
of the team and held down one of
the halfbaek positions like a Veteran.
Firpo played fine football and made
constant gains when the quarterback
Choose to nominate him to carry the
Perry played another year at half
that was representative of the 1926
Campaign, Again he played in the
backfield as interference runner de-
luxe and paved the way for many of
the touchdowns the Leopards made.
Perry passes on as a person not
seeking personal glories, but a player
playing for the team and the other
man rather than himself.
Moore proved to he an in-
valuable lnaekfield player and
often suhstituted for the reg-
ular men in such a way that
his presence was felt very
much. Moore will lme back
when the team lines up next
year and will play a regular
Lindsay more than held his own
against opposing tackles during the
season and held up the right side of
the Leopard line with a grim deter-
mination to win. Lindsay was quick
to see openings in the opponent's
line, and was also good at Opening
holes when the occasion arose. He
had the power of strength and knew
how to use it.
Although Hillpot came out for
football after the season had started,
nevertheless he overwhelmingly made
the grade and gained a vast amount
of experience which will mean much
to him next year.

GRAYDON GILL LEWIS KEI,SAY
VVhenever a player was hurt Coach
Allen always had one man on the
side lines whom he could depend on
to take his place and play as equally
as good. That man was Graydon
Gill. Gill played tackle and excelled
in that position.
Green proved to be an excellent
end and played the same unassum-
ing game that he played last year.
He was forever on the alert, was
fast, and carried a world of speed in
every play he made. He was quiet
and always considerate of his fellow
team-mates. By his actions on the
gridiron he has probably created a
habit of fair play that will follow
him in whatever walk of life he
chooses to pursue.
Another of the young play-
ers who learned a great deal
about the pigskin sport was
Billie Harper. Harper was
one of the fastest players on
the team, and should he de-
cide to come back next year,
he will be the regular quarter.
He is a smart player and a
real runner of the Lynch
"Red," after once getting started,
played a real game at guard. He
was a tighter from the start, and
although very light and young, he
made larger hoys play hard to brush
him aside. At San Antonio he was
matched with a 200 pound guard
and during the third quarter the
heavyweight went out of the game
due to the fierce playing the Oak
Clif? youngster gave him, Kelsay
should he a star next season.
An injury also held Swatek in the
background. jack is a real guard,
has the power, the weight, and the
speed and should play on the line
like a demon next fall. He will
especially add plenty of weight to
his side of the line.
