BEAN The Outing Club, the largest organization in Adams State Teachers Col- lege, enjoyed a trip to the Rio Grande river north of Alamosa early in the fall quarter. About forty members enjoyed cr well prepared dinner and entertain- ment. A short time later, the Club motored to Masonic Park. Here a dinner was served around a huge tire which helped about thirty members to forget the snowy weather. lt was here that the picture tor the Annual was taken. On lanuary 27, a party was given at the home of Mr. Bean, the advisor, for the newly married couples who had previously been members of the Outing Club. The annual Outing Club journey to Arrowhead Lodge at the toot of Mt. Blanca was held in March. ln May, the Outing Club held its annual tirelight- ing ceremony when it formally received into the Club the new members who had been active for at least three quarters. Meetings which were held once a month were both literary and social in nature. Formal and informal programs were ar- ranged to mark the principal festivals ot the Spanish peoples and to com- memorate the outstanding men of Spanish letters. Page G7
