winner and the runner-up in the League. A trophy will
he given to the winner.
A captain is appointed for each game because the
captain elected for this year has left school.
The following have played in part or all of the games
during the season of 1933: Lanfear, Rice, Klenard, Reg. Carroll, Stoker,
Berry, Griggs, Clarke, Thomas.

the hrst time in the history of the local school, a foul-shooting
contest was held for all boys and girls of the High School. lt created
ii " f' I a great deal of interest as well as good clean spirit. A1together,:'112
students took part in the foul-shooting contest. There were 74 boys
and 38 girls. The boys each shot 25 times and had to make 12 or mord to
qualify. The girls shot 15 times and had to make five to qualify.
R. Overton and L. Rhodes were the highest, getting 18 out of 25 apiece.
In the girls, H. Remington had 12 out of 15. Only 19 girls were able to
qualify for the second round. In the boys, only 29 were able to qualify. In
the second round the boys had to make 15 out of 25, and the girls 7 out of 15.
this round found many of the favorites fall by the wayside.
J. Hughes was the' highest, getting 21 out of 25, for the boys. 111. Gates
took the honors of the girls in the second round, making 10 out of 15. Only
six boys qualified in this round and seven girls were able to qualify.
In the third round, which was much harder going, Hughes and A. Clarke
took the honors making 22 out of 30, and 18 out of 30 respectively. They were
the only two to qualify.
' For the girls, E. Snyder took the honors, making 13 out of 20, with three
tied for second place in qualifying, D. 1VIcChesney, V. Reed, R. Huson and a
tie-off had to take place, with D. MfcChesney winning.
In the finals, the boys had to shoot 50 times and the one who had the highest
won. The girls shot 30 times and the highest won. Hughes won by making
39 out of 50 in the boys contest and D. lIcChesney won the girls' contest by
making 19 out of 30.
J. Hughes made 95 out of 130 during the contest.
D. RfIcChesney made 41 out of 80.
Both students showed that they were superior to any one in the school in
