Co-op Is Reward for Seniors ' Efforts Through the many courses offered at A.C., students became aware of the business world around them . General business, taught by Mr. Hoffman, in¬ troduced the students to this world. Mr. Bryan instructed all in the techniques of bookkeeping. Many girls learned the art of becoming efficient secretaries through shorthand and secretarial train¬ ing, taught by Miss Benz. One-semester courses of business law and sales taught by Mr. Hoffman taught the laws and principles of the business world. Besides the regular typing courses, a new one-semester personal typing course was offered to college-bound students. Seniors who had completed the necessary work were eligible for C.O. E., in which they worked half-days in office jobs. Miss Benz ' s shorthand class isn ' t interested in anything but that tape. Barb Sheets concentrates on her bookkeeping, but Monica Jackson has found some¬ thing more interesting. 28
