Home Economics Prepares Future Homemakers Do your souffles fall? Your upside down cakes turn right side up? Why don ' t you join A.C. ' s home Economic class? All the classes spent the first semester studying the hows and why ' s of home- making. The last semester was spent applying knowledge learned during the first semester. Freshman students studied foods and proper nutrition, while sophomores learned about the care and feeding of babies. Juniors tried to balance budgets, and manage a home. Seniors studied marriage and covered topics from dating to divorce. Students were allowed to choose the garment they wished to sew. The smell of cookies, fancy cakes, yeast and din¬ ner rolls, and complete dinners, floated through the halls of Central. Freshmen students rise and shine in the morning, after eating the breakfast which they prepared themselves.
