Mrs. Helen Luckinbill attained a B.A. degree at Central College in Pella. She teaches vocal music, mixed chorus, and girls glee. Her hobbies are cooking, golf, teaching piano les- sons, and running the Bar-L-Ranch during the summer. She attended the Lojeski Festival in Griswold which featured pop chorals. In the fall she attended the Little 8 conference vo- cal festival. A Christmas, winter and spring concert were pre- sented by the vocal department. Mr. Orville Bud” Harris obtained his Masters of Music Education at Vancercook College of Music, Chicago. Mr. Harris is in charge of all band activites and junior high vocal classes. Some of Mr. Harris' activities are 1SEA delegate, dance band, and memberships in Iowa Bandmasters Associa- tion. During the school year, he presented a Christmas con- cert, jazz concert and a spring concert. 5

P.E. Department Is Full of Aetion I » Miss Schafer obtained her B.S. in Ed. at Drake University. Her hobbies are traveling and playing the guitar. She spon- sors the cheerleaders and Pep Club. She also coaches girls' junior high basketball and track. A few changes in the P.E. program are the addition of first aid. skiing, and international dance. Miss Schafer hopes to start a volleyball club. In the spring she hopes to go to the 5 by 80 to play golf or to bowl. Mr. Bob Gress attained a B.S. degree at Northwest Mis- souri State University. He coaches junior high boys’ football, basketball, and track. His hobbies and interests are golf, fish- ing, and gardening. There are a few changes for Mr. Gress this year, including new archery targets and the addition of tennis, skiing, and cross country skiing to the curriculum. A
