English Students Get Involved Mr. Stafford is new to A-C this year. He received a B.S. in English from Peru College. He teaches Practi- cal English, American and English Lit, and English II. He also sponsors speech while his hobby is tennis. Mrs. Evelyn Clark teaches the ju- nior high English classes. She received a B.A. from UNI. In her spare time. Mrs. Clark likes to read. Another new teacher is Mr. Storm- er who teaches English I, speech, de- bate, individualized reading, and spon- sors the SNOOP. He received a B.A. from UNI. He received a B.S. from Mankato State and teaches 20th Cen- tury History, Spanish I and II, social problems and socio- logy. He also sponsors the Spanish Club. Bennett and Lohr Prepare Students for the Future Mr. Donald Lohr, our guidance counselor, sponsors the junior high student council and National Honor Society He is also assistant track coach. Mr. Lohr would like to get the NHS more involved with each of the communi- ties. He received his M.S. in Education from NEMSU at Kirksville. Learning Disabilities is a new program which is headed by Ms. Kay Bennett. Each day Ms. Ben- nett works with 18 different stu- dents in the L.D. room. She likes to keep her spare time occupied with cooking and reading. Ms. Bennett is from Maryville. Mo. and she received her B.S. in Edu- cation from Northwest Missouri State University. 16
