Assisting the junior class and co-sponsoring the yearbook again this year is Mrs. Beverly Gustafson. She has a BS in Ed- ucation from NWMSU and her hobbies include reading and houseplants. A student secretary organization where students receive credit for doing typing for teachers was started this year. This gives students the opportunity to experience realis- tic office experiences. Mr. Norman Carlson teaches 7th grade math and sci- ence. He also sponsors chess club. His hobbies are hunt- ing, fishing, chess and most outdoor sports. Mr. Dale Witt teaches biology, advanced biology, chem- istry, and earth science. He also sponsors the freshman class and is assistant boys’ basketball coach and head boys’ track coach. Mr. Allyn Monaghan, at left, was married dur- ing Christmas break. He is head baseball, as- sistant football, assistant girls’ basketball, Lit- tle League, and 7th grade baseball coach. In his spare time, he plays golf, tennis, and watches athletic events. New history books were used in his classes this year-20th CEN- TURY HISTORY. Teaching political science, American minori- ties, and world cultures this year is a new teacher, Thomas J. Queck, pictured at the right. He graduated with a BA from August- ana College. He is an assistant football coach and also helps sponsor the sophomore class. Social Science Department To help students become more aware of the 1976 election activities, Mr. Queck held a student election. Stu- dents had to register and then voted on November 2. As in the national elec- tion, Carter won by a narrow margin at A-C. At the left, Judi Scholl and Janet Ste- phenson seem to be temporarily dis- tracted from a lecture.
