V « ADMINISTRATION SENIORS UNDERCLASSMEN GRADES SPORTS ACTIVITIES ADVERTISING FOREWORD We The People of Adair-Casey High In order to always remember the School Year of 1962-1963 Establish in our minds the things we have learned and the fun we have had Insure the memories of our friends and associates Provide for the time when this period will seem long-departed Promote an everlasting school spirit and Secure the blessings of these days for ourselves and our posterity. . . .do Ordain and establish this BOMBER for the past year at ADAIR-CASEY HIGH SCHOOL We the seniors of Adair-Casey High School, Class of 1963, wish to dedicate this yearbook to you, our parents. This is a small expres- sion of gratitude for the advice and consultation which we received, from 1950 when we were shy little beginners in school until now. If it weren’t for you behind us, giving us a helping hand here and discipline there, we would not be the people we are today. Your gui- dance has helped in the formation of memories which happily end our high school career and make us ready to take that important step into the world of tomorrow. (IdfninidtuituM BOARD OF EDUCATION The ultimate function of the Adair-Casey Board of Education is to pro- vide the district with the highest type of educational standard that is possible. To realize this goal, each member must sacrifice personal time for community educational service without any financial renumer- ation. OUR SCHOOL This is the school where we have spent some of the happier days of our lives. We started here as second semester Sophomores 1961. We are now finished as the graduating class of 1963, the third graduating class of our new school. We wish to thank the communities for making possible the fine facilities that are provided for us in this building. SUPERINTENDENT I wish success to the Senior Class of 1963. However, the Senior who hopes to avoid all failures and mis- fortunes is trying to live in a fairy- land; the wise Senior realistically accepts failures as a part of life and builds a philosophy to meet and make the most of them. PRINCIPAL Life is a series of steps or lines. We cross our first major line when we start to school, our second when we graduate from high school. How- ever, your educational growth is just starting. Because of scientific progress you will be retrained at least two more times before you retire. It is there- fore necessary that your education becomes a never ending process. fy l jf li) ELIZABETH FRAZEE B.S. Northeast Missouri State Teachers College. World History. JAMES FRAZEE B.S. Mr. Mallaro, the man with the camera. SCHOOL PERSONNEL COOKS--Minnie Ernst, Ethel Fairfield, Oscabelle Plow- man, and Iva Schallow. There is a vast amount of work that is behind the scenes. Part of this is that of the ladies who do the kitchen work of preparing and serving the daily meals to meet the state specifications. Below shows a typical daily scene. SECRETARIES--Gladys Farnsworth and Margaret Sullins. It's a wonder the secretaries get anything done in the office with the harrassment they get from the faculty and students. But they are congenial, as nothing seems to shake them up . However, they are most happy when they are serving us and helping us in any small way to make our school a more efficient organization. Thank you is but a small token of our appreciation. The school nurse Mrs. Hoffman visits our school two times each week. She has checked all the students' eyes and advised those who needed glasses. She has given each of us a dental card to fill out, and also cared for minor injuries and illnesses of the stu- dents when the need arises. Thank you for your help, Mrs. Hoffman. Don and Dorothy Carrick and George Rochholz are our school janitors. They spend many hours at the school mopping, polishing, shining, and waxing floors, cleaning windows, mak- ing minor repairs, plus keeping our nice school grounds looking well kept. We wish to thank you for doing a very good job. BUS DRIVERS--Above are some of the bus drivers who travel our com- munity's roads no matter what the weather is, to get us to and from school. These men should be commended for a job well done.
