Our days at high school are like a bending road— leading toward our individual goals. Our school has built a road on which one can motor into the year's records. A pebble, crack, or bend is a day of classes, activities, or traditional events: it is a gained experience with classmates, faculty, and ad- ministration. Our road is rather straight: perhaps a bend now and then to pick up neglected bits of learn- ing. It is rather plain, leaving you to fill in the memor- ies as they are recalled. We give you a road that will be traveled often— a road reminding you of the knowledge you have acquired at this school. It is an honor and a pleasure to be selected as one to write a personal notation in the first yearbook of the Adair-Casey Community School. As a member of the teaching staff and administrator for the Casey division of the school system, I wish to express my deep appreciation to the students for their sincere attitude and co-operation; to my fellow teachers and administrators for their useful suggestions, and to all the other members of the school staff for their help- fulness which contributes to our major goal—education . Congratulations and best wishes to the members of the senior class as they near graduation and step out in- to future endeavors. Also, congratulations to the people of the entire community for their insight to better education of the youth in uniting into one community school. May the Adair-Casey Community School become one of the lead- ing schools in Iowa. 4
