SENIOR CLASS HISTORY The year 19 was the time that oart of the senior class of 1957 enrolled in the Casey Public School. The first grade consisted of fourteen members and our teacher was Mrs. Bosold, These fourteen members of whom were Bruce Avey, Charles Bre- heny, Norma Dupuy, Donna Fay, Joan Hamilton, Julia Holle, Carl Ludwig,Kay Maxwell, Jane McTigue,Norman Moorhead, Larry Persing, Janet Sorensen, Sharon Griffith, and Elvera Weise. In the second grade our teacher was still Mrs. Bosold and our class gained Jack Watson and Darwin Lyons. Also we lost Bruce Avey and Elvera Weise. The third grade brought a change in teachers to our class. Miss Evelyn Marckman became our teacher for the first tinje. Pete Kunkle and Larry Richards joined our grouo and Carl Ludwig, Janet Sorenson, Jack Watson and Darwin Lyons dropped out. Our fourth grade class neither gained nor lost in stu- dents and our teacher was still Miss Evelvn Marckman. Now for the fifth grade which brought new exneriences and a new teacher to direct us. Our teacher was Miss Fern Marckman. The class gained Steve Hallgren and Duane Morri- son but we also lost Julia Holle, Sharon Griffith and Jack Betts. Our sixth gr de teacher was still Miss Fern Marckman and our class lost Jane McTigue snd LarrvRichards. We gained the following students: Karl Larson, Dave Powell, and Dennis Saunders. The seventh grade brought us a new teacher, Mrs. Donna Hayes. 'We gained James Faga,Jeanette Lerakeand James Kuster. Our group lost Pete Kunkle, who moved to Jefferson. Eighth grade was the grade our class really grew. We gained Alice Comly, John Fisher, Jerry Gilbert, Carl Ludwig, Larry Ludwig and Dean Williams. We lost Steve Hallgren, who moved to California.Our teacher was still Mrs. Donna Hayes. Ninth grade was a very joyous time of our school days. Our class gained Karen Brown, Gerald Busch, Delbert Christ- ensen, Sharon Griffith, Jerry Kopaska, Charles Long, Jack Maas, Kathleen Mallatt, Bob Morrison, Beverly Randolph, Lynn Walker, Jeannine Whetstone and Jean Cline. This year we never lost any of our previous students. Tenth grade was still a more rowdy year and our class didn’t gain anyone but we lost Kay Maxwell and Jane McTigue. Our eleventh grade class stayed the same outside of losing Jean Cline, Larry Ludwig and Lynn Walker. And now we are Seniors, for most of us it is a joyous time but for a few it is a sad time. Our class never gained anyone but we did lose Jerry Gilbert and Jim Kuster. We gained Pat Persin , and Kenneth Schiller. Our teachers have been many throughout our school years but v e don’t believe any of them regret teaching us. The Class of 57 T
