,aenior 4660 a'cz It wasabeautiful but chilly mornxng when 27 of the Seniors Mr Seversonand Miss Rath boarded the chartered bus for Min neapohs The class had voted to send Mr Severson to Maine durlng th1s excursxon but he felt It was necessary to l1ve up to hxs obhgations to the Semors and decided to go along to keep us company The t1me was only 5 30 a m and the usually brlght and snappy Semors th1s once showed themselves as 27 sleepy people But each of them was wide awake enough to realxze that this bus was quite superxor to the usual puddle Jumpers that many of us are accustomed to rxding on dally Dux-mg our stopat the bus depot ln Mason C1ty some of the daring Sen1or girls got the Coronet magazine wxth that uncouth outer wrapper Finally with few m1sg1v1ngs other than some antics by the boys who were at last awakemng the bus rolled into Minneapolxs Fxrst wasa trip to the axrport where we watched the bxg lzners come xn Thls was also the place where we ate Vince Steffen wxll never forget those herring cutlets nor wxll we forget M1ss Rath as king the waxtress for a fxre extmgulsher after she had completed her splcy barbecued beef But on from the alpport to the Ford plant fThough we stzll think thata ce:-tam Ford dealer s daughter had something to do with getting us therelj But we all enjoyed ourselves a lot And each of us even the Chevle owners looked a b1t env1ously at the Custom line Convertlbles as they rolled off the assembly lme From there It was shopping down town for the girls and a sport show for the boys that they re stxll talkmg about The gxrls were rather flabbergasted by many of the prxce tags and the boys were enthralled w1th a certain seal or something At the concluslon of a rather txring day the bus took us out to the Ice Folhes show All of us really were quite awe str1cken at thebeaunfulshowmanshlp ofthe many performers and also at the l l ' I l -1' gorgeous settings It seems that coming home was almost like goxng in that most everyone was txred and fell asleep wxth very pleasant memories of a super Senior Sktp Day' 11' THIS PAGE SPONSORED BY SOUTH SIDE DAIRY I l b I I I . . . . . .
