OUT OF THIS WORLD May S, l9h9, finally arrived. we had worked so hard to take our guests NOut of This Wbrldn at the Junior-Senior Banquet. we decorated the gym with a huge circular staircase which led to the clouds. A large gray castle in one corner gave the impression of fairyland and elves and fairies gathered in other parts of the room. Little gold castles in the clouds dGCOFatGd the tables and were used as nut cups. The programs were in the shape of lace-covered silver fans. Duane Hanig, class president, served as toastmaster. He introduced Dean Vietor, Harold Vietor and Mr. Stark, who gave toasts, and Terry Shellard, who bid the Seniors farewell Other program number w re provided by Mrs Halstead, Gail Schoeneman, and the Knight Lwins Vance Dixon's orche tra played for the prom He introduced a new number, UOut of this 'orld,N to top off the evening's emfr tainment THE CINDERELLA BALL The Class of 1950 was entertained by the Juniors at the Junior Senior Banquet and Prom on May ll, 1950 The Juniors chose the theme HThe Cinderella Balln and the gym was charmingly decorated with obgects and figures from the story There were Cinderella, Prince Charming, the Footman hold ing the glass slipper, the Fairy God mother, the Pumpkin Coach, the clock with hands at midnight, the mice and the birds And the castle was there as the central figure, mounted on a hill in center of the gym The tables were decorated with bouquets of rose snapdragons and gardenia boutonnieres which served as place cards Inside the pumpkin coach the guests found their menu and program Daryl Becker, cast in the role of The Elegant Footman, introduced the speakers Francis Kearney, Darrell Bleeker nd Mr Wayne Pos The Three Little Birds sang delightfully and the Two Fairies entertained with two dances Lee Baron's orchestra furnished music for an intermission, Cinderella's silver slipper was search was on for Cinderella She turned out to ler, whose foot fit the slipper Cinderella's was Ronald Sietsema who was chosen by applause V dancing During produced and the be M8TJOF16SESS- Prince Charming U Q x pf H ,W as 0911 f VN s 'e ' .
