WHEN WE WERE JRS
Om
THE CLASS OF 1955
For four years, we've been working, yelling, playing, and
going all out for Acalanes. It all started with our tirst dance
"Storybook Frolic." During our Sophomore year we gave thern
"Coney Island" and few athletes to boot. Such productions as
"Rhapsody in Blue" and "This is Your Life," spotlighted a tremen-
dous Junior year. Now it's time to leave, the dances, games,
brunch periods, tests are all behind and the future is what we
make it.

Mr. Eaton almost busted the buttons right off his chest this
year. Larry Pilcher, the Sophomore sensation, established him-
self as king of the quarter-milers in this area. Jack Kuenzel
finally "sped up" his first lap and cracked the school's 880 re-
cord. Just to increase Mr. Eaton's pride Butch DeVillars and Terry
Ashe excelled in the sprints. Coad and Johnson provided the one,
two punch in the pole vault as did Freeman and Palmer in the
weights. All in all it could be said that the track team "learned
a lot and had a lot of fun."
