t wasn't February, but the spirit and ex- citement of the Mardi Gras season had returned to Lafayette once again. The Municipal Auditorium was transformed by the Krewe of Acadiana into a festive gala as the Prom Night of 1985 began. Couples dressed in white arrived at 8:00, some in the obvious luxury of a limousine. Prominent among the decorations was a Mardi Gras float along with comedy and tragedy masks that adorned the walls. Tables were decorated with colorful beads, masks and doubloons. Presented as Prom King and Queen were Kim Broussard and Lynette Lan- dry. Although the dance ended at 11:00, .the night had just begun for many who dined at the exclusive restaurants in town, attended private parties or feasted at pre-dawn breakfasts. It was truly a night to remember. nf ' , cg ,..'i A -if S., . 54 I Kim Broussard and Lynette Landry reigned as king and queen over the Krewe of Acadianaf' 26 JUNIORISENIOR PROM I D D vu U A JA 1:9 Oda g .f H 3 ax X R rf X ji as j i fi ,fi 14 v-W 'Qt f:l W W1L1 1 Xiu f 5'
