The of- ficers, accompanied by Mrs. Price, attended the Southern Regional Leader- ship Conference in Nashville, Tennessee. District Convention was held in Cecila and the State Convention took place in Baton Rouge. Acadiana picked up numerous wins at the district competition, Receiving 1st places were John Broussard - Business Math, Dennle Edwards - Entrepreneur- ship, Michelle Miller - Job Interview, Michelle Fleaux - Accounting Ilg Paul Le - Mr. FLBA3 and Melodie Arceneaux and Paul Le - Poster Contest. Superiors were also given to Glenda Duhon - Office Procedures: Stephanie Thibodeaux - Accounting lg and Erica Francis - Business English. Students who placed at the District Convention were also eligible for state competition. AHS walked away with several places including a 1st in Office Procedures for Glenda Duhon and in Job Interview for Michelle Miller, John Broussard also received 2nd in Business Mathematics and Stephanie Thibodeaux received 3rd in Accounting I. 4th place awards went to Michelle Fleaux in Accounting ll and Dennie Edwards in Entrepreneurship. Members of the club attended several social events including a Thanksgiving covered dish supper and a Christmas party at Roxanne An' drus' home. The end-of-the-year banquet was held at Don's Seafood Hut. At that time, members of the month were recognized and awards were distributed. Named Member of the Year was Kathryn Broussard. The club was also honored by a visit from the FBLA state president, James Benjy Dailey, from New Orleans.
