Reporter Allyson Melancon Parliamentarian Anna Lentjes GDIINGIL Student Council Gets Involved The Student Council of the 1984-85 school year was involved in many activities. A monthly calendar contain- ing the birthdays of all students was hung in the main hall. The group also sponsored a Kiss a Horse con- test with candidates consisting of Mr. Cavalier and the assistant principals. The winner of the contest was Mrs. Cox who was a great sport and puckered up during a pep rally. A canned good drive was sponsored by the Student Council as a project to benefit the community by bring- ing food to the needy. At designated times, doughnuts were sold to the students as a way of bringing a special breakfast to those who had no time to eat before com- ing to school. Student Council members attended the Louisiana Association of Student Councils at Lafayette High where they won the Office of State Treasurer. STUDENT COUNCIL 181
