l l l l l l LeCafe, Center Court in Acadiana Mall, is a true Acadiana High employer. Six Acadiana High students work at the Cafe, including four senior girls, ANNA LENT- JES, STACEY HOLMES, MONICA JEF- COA T, AND ALL YSON MELANCON. Their duties include making coffee and tea, waiting on customers and cleaning the shop after closing. They all agree that they like their jobs best because it is easy work and they can see all their friends in the Mall, and meet new people. One of the funniest things they remember is making a crank call to the boys employed at Mor- row's Nut House just across from LeCafe. The boys decided to crank call back but the girls' boss answered the phone. They also remember having water gun fights among themselves and with the customers. None of the four feel work has affected their school work. Instead it has allowed them to meet many new people. I- IN PURSUIT OF CASH Money, the experience, and the people are what DONALD DAUTEFHVE likes most about his job. l Donald has worked at Chick-Fil-A for the past 3 years. He is now a Crew Supervisor which makes him take on many respon- sibilities and work long hours. Donald doesn't feel his work has affected the quality of his school work or his social life because he only works one night a weekend. The funniest .Q .--1 'X 5 .5 F thing Donald recalls ever happening at Chick-Fil-A , r xv .. .il is when his boss threw a pie in someone's face at a going-away dinner for an employee. JP' z E 4 YL: Q. 2 , ' 3 F K ' ,BNA . ,PM Q . 'naw l Have you ever been forced to wear a box over your head to be photographed for hundreds oi people to see? Well, JASON DEVILLIER has. He recalls this incident as the most embarrass- ing thing he has had to do at work at the Lafayette Planetarium. Jason has worked there for about a year as part of the Star Show production staff. His job includes preparing slides for use, align- ing and checking the slide projectors, taking slide photographs, and hooking up electrical circuits. The only thing Jason doesn't like about his job is doing the slow, tedious work, but he does get to meet and speak to many people who share his interests. For the past four months, Forrest The Dude Chaisson has been an employee of D. H. Holmes in the Acadiana Mall. Forrest is a stockman whose duties include bring- ing merchandise from stock to customers, moving fixtures, and keeping the store organized. Forrest says his job affects his school work when he comes home tired and doesn't want to do his homework. When asked how his job affected his social life, Forrest said, I miss most of the con- certs, basketball and football games, but l've met a lot of beautiful women at my job. Worth it - you bet!
