Rams Take District Winning the district championship and making the state playoffs is a coach's dream. The 1985 Ram baseball squad lived up to their expectations, making a dream come true for Coach Scott Mc- Cullough and Acadiana High School. The diamondmen won the district crown in the true championship fashion. Forced into a district playoff game, the Flams came out on top with a 2-0 deci- sion. Next up was the St. Amant Gators, where the district champs suffered their fifth loss. Overall, the team compiled a 17-5 district record. Nailing first team all-district honors were Ted Hebert - pitcher, Bubba Savell - outfield, Bryant Hernandez - 3rd base, and Greg Guidry - catcher. Rounding out the second team and honorable mentions were Fernell Francis, Dean Theriot, Brian Blanchard, Brett Guidry, Chris Stevens, and Mark Lipari.
