After beating the Golden Tornadoes 34-32, the Rams moved to a 3-0 season record, an omen foreshadowing the rest of the season. The victory over the now Tarnished team was a great achievement on the part of the AHS players. As Coach Dotson remarked, lt was a team victory. Acadiana's touchdowns were made by Tim Handy, Bubba Savell lwho each made two touchdownsj, and Dean Therlot with one touchdown. ln spite of the team being plagued by injuries, the Rams had another terrific game. Prominent defensive player was Troy Thibodeaux, who had nine solo tackles ithirteen all togetherj and one interception. The well-coordinated offensive and defensive Ram team worked smoothly together to overcome the Tigers by a score of 13 to 7. The Rams once again came through with a major victory over the Timid Tigers. AHS really showed their colors when wide receiver Dean Theriot caught a pass from Brian Poindexter to run 90 yards downfield for a Ram touchdown. The 90 yard pass completion placed Dean into the AHS record books for the longest touchdown reception in Ram history. Troy Jones, still recovering from an ankle injury, made the AHS's final, decisive touchdown. Special recognition went to Malcolm Taylor for his fine tackling maneuvers. Good job, Rams!

The 13-6 victory wasn't easy though. They had to overcome Eunice's Craig Victoria who ran the 100-yard dash in 9.6 seconds and who was also considered the Troy Jones of Eunice High. . Troy Jones scored both touchdowns in this game but couldn't have done it without the help of Lee Gothe, Tim Handy, Bubba Savell, and Todd Travis. Outstanding tackles contributed greatly to the AHS victory. Some of the leaders of the tackle pack were Lee Arceneaux, who made a total of six tacktes, Bubba Savell, who made three solo tackles and gotin on six others, Doug Granger, who made a total of ten tackles, and Troy Thlbodeaux, whole' the pack with twelve tackles, six of them by himself.
