SUPPLY The Supply Department pro- vides the material and ser- vices necessary to support ACADIA's crew of 1200 on a day to day basis. The Department consists of 6 divisions: S-1 tstock ControVStores Divisionl, S-2 tfood Service Divisionj, S-3 fSales and Services Divisionl, S-4 iDisbursing Divisionl, S-6 lFlepair of Other Vessels, Supply Support Divisionl and S-7 tAutomatic Data Processing Divisionl. The Supply Department is an award winning organization, taking pride in the quality of support provided to the crew. ACADIA is cur- rently a finalist for the 1991 Ney Memorial Award comperi tion after placing second dur- ing 1990. We are also a con- tender for the Ship's Store Best Sales and Services Award, 1991, after winning the award for the 1989-1990 competitive cycle. During deployment they conducted a continu- ous program of location audits and inventories and reorders to ensure required material would be on hand when needed. The division processed over 3000 issues from stock in direct support of Operation Desert Shield!Storm.
