Dedication
From the beginning of time, the power of Mary’s motherhood of souls has been an encompassing force, extending its influence to the entire Church. For, above all, Mary is a mother, possessing uniquely the qualities of motherhood. With enveloping maternal love, she reaches out tenderly to every soul, providing for its needs, responding to its appeals. Mary shares with all mothers the selective mission of the diffusion of life, conceiving and nourishing us in the life of grace, possessing and rendering the fullness of God. It is with tile ever-deepening devotion and love of a child for his mother that we pay tribute to the dignity of Mary’s sovereign function of motherhood, and dedicate this year’s ANGELUS to the mother of God, mother of the Church.

Foreword
The pattern of our education is comprised of the imparting and assimilation of truth; truth through knowledge for our material and physical development, and truth through wisdom for the growth of the soul. The ideals and ideas presented to us, correlating the growth of the whole person, are those expedient for the fulfillment of our vocation as Christian women in our modernistic, materialistic environment.
We realize that in this time of formation and development, in order to foster in our lives the attitudes and ideals of young Christian women, we must put into practice in our lives qualities emanating from Mary and the virtues we admire in her, applying them while standing firm against our trials in all the situations we find ourselves facing. Towards the fulfillment of our role of exemplifying Catholic ideals, may we reproduce Mary’s true detachment of self and deep humility, and in our development of purity and prudence may we devoid ourselves of envy, criticism, and suspicion, reflecting instead, Christian joy, fraternal charity, and devout love. When these united virtues animate the entirety of our lives, the treasure, the gem we possess to offer to the world, is a living, vital force; it is a perfect resemblance of The Ideal Woman, and a model of the true spirit of Catholic life.
