L? The Most Momentous Da In spring a Seniors fancy turns to thoughts of . . . May Day! How difficult is concentration on chemical formulae and French verbs when the warm sun- shine streaming through the classroom windows reminds her that the most mo- mentous day of life at SHM is rapidly approaching! The Senior corridor hums with the excited babble of formals, dates and practices. Finally to the relief of harrassed parents and teachers, the big day arrives. For endless moments she awaits with quickened pulse the initial strains of the processional. Then with a grace achieved only by weeks of practice, she floats in a cloud of soft tulle past the admiring gaze of her escort and parents. Amid joyous acclaim the lovely May Queen is crowned and receives the hom- age of her subjects. Then she, in turn, crowns the Queen of all queens, our Blessed Mother. After each Senior has knelt before Mary's shrine for the blessing of her ring, the unforgettable ceremonies are brought to a perfect close with Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. ,ff ! lllllx lUpper left?
