Hllllllllllw Our Holy Father loves youth He loves them to such a degree that he wishes to be their champion At the Vatican he asked the youth of Rome Will you be the youth of the Pope? They answered Yes and our Holy Father lovingly promised in return Then We will be the Pope of youth This promise was made not only to the youth of Rome but to all who love him and wish to belong to him He feels that the peace and prosper ity of the future depend upon the youth of the world We at Lauralton have heard our Holy Father s promise and we wish very much to be his But we reflect that to be the youth of the Pope requires clear principles great personal courage and an unbreakable union be tween religion and life During our years at Lauralton our teachers through instruction guidance and constant prayer have been working to willing to meet our Holy Father s challenge Now we must put this train ing into practice Since education is a social and not merely an individual activity our Holy Father rightly expects that we shall share the fruits of the precious advantages afforded us In our graduating class of today are the wives and mothers the religious and the business women of tomorrow As we fash ion our future we are committed to respond to our Holy Fathers appeal go forward go into the forefront go and enlighten and teach With humble dependence on God s grace we hope to fulfill our Holy Fathers commission - Q , . 7 ,, . . , . - -3, , , 1 4 3 instill these very principles to transform us into young adults ready and , . , . . , .
