SODALITY The Sodality of Our Lady, amliated with the Roman Prima Primaria, aims to foster in its members an ardent devotion, reverence and filial love for the Blessed Virgin Mary. Here at Lauralton, our Sodality holds weekly spiritual meetings. The Apostolic, Eucha- ristic, Marian, and Publicity Committees alternately take charge of these meetings. Sophomores, juniors, and seniors who wish to join the Sodality enter a probationary period during which they are obliged to learn the rules of the Sodality and study the way of life'l they plan to take on. This way of lifel' is the Sodalist's first step to her future life with jesus through Mary. From the moment of their admission to proba- tion, the aspirants share in the privileges, indulgences, and other spiritual graces granted to Sodalists. Various projects for the year included: spreading devotion to the family rosary, keeping Christ in Christmas, presenting an assembly commemorating the Church in Silence and sponsoring a Catholic literature drive, The annual May crowning climaxed the year's activities. ., if SODALITY OFFICERS Loretta Bielen, Second Assistantg Ann O'Neil, Prefectg and Liz .dun Scanlon, First Assistant, prepare the next meeting with Sister Maria Magdalen. Sister Maria Magdalen presides over a weekly meeting of the Senior Sodality. Carol Saksa CChairman of the Marian Committeej, Margee Curley CChairman of the Eucharistic Committeey, and Peggy Sasso QChairman of the Publicity Committeej discuss future projects. TARCISIAN REPRESENTATIVES Standing Barbara Filosa, Louise Schubba, Eileen Cor- mier Helen Kiesel, Leila Sue Casey, Jane Irving, Joan Meuser Beverly Tanner. Kneeling Lorraine jarusinsky, Dale Garrison, Mar- garet O Neill Gay Ryan, Vennie Mangiaracina, Joan Ellis Marilee Timothy, TARCISIANS Every girl at Lauralton is a member of the League of the Tarcisians. We, as apostles of the Social Reign of the Sacred Heart, strive to bring our school and homes closer to the Heart of Jesus by becoming closer to Him ourselves. Each -day as a part of our morning prayers, we renew our consecration to His Sacred Heart and invoke His aid through aspirations at the beginning of each class. To further extend this devotion, at the beginning of each year all classes enthrone the Sacred Heart in the chapel and in each home room. Each class spends half an hour of adoration before the Blessed Sacrament once a month. These customs, as well as the monthly renewal of the Act of Consecration to the Sacred Heart, show that we Lauralton girls are proud to be members of an organization which is so pleasing to His Sacred Heart. We offer Thee our prayer . . . our work . . . our play . . - Tarcisian Hymn 63
