Our second item is from the edi- torial report of the President of the Inter- national Federation of Catholic Alumnae. Nlrs. Auspitxer. Xlrs. Richard von YVarton. who may he contacted hy those who are interested in assisting Catholic Austrian families in need of clothing and food. writes that Nliss Barbara A. Tyler. an alumna of the Acad- emy of the Assumption. XV4-llesley Hills. requested that a large Family he en- trusted to the lied Sox. the famous Boston Baseball Team. of which she is the Secre- tary. They are now sponsoring a family ot twelve children and amongst the many other articles of food and clothing sent were three white First Communion outfits for the little girls of the family. Could there he a hetter form of Catholic Action? Our third item is quoted from the l.F.C.A. governoris report. uNlany of our Alumnae members have heen actively en- gaged in various Catholic activities. Kliss Agnes Linahan, Chairman of the DePaul Missions has adopted an Austrian family, consisting of mother, father. and child and has been sending them articles of clothing and necessities. This motive was prompted hy a visit this summer to the Baroness Yon Trapp's home in Yerinontf' llaving seen the continued loyal and selfless activity of our predecessors. we are honored indeed, to join their ranks. The record of years holds for us a chal- lenge. Let us meet this challengel Let us give of our time. of our energy. and of our possessions generously. For though much has been done. imich that has heen dreamed is unfulfilled. There is one dream which we the elass of 19-19 might make come true: the establishment of a closed retreat for our memhers on some week-end each year. YVe have now an annual Day of liec- ollection. Shall we venture to extend this to three days? If precedents have any sig- nificance we may he confident that our ev- pectations will materialize for As our dreams are. so are we. Our dreams are hut the mirror of our- selves. XVe shape in thought what soon we shape in deeds. And what We daily do within the heart, We grow to lie.
