Boa rd of Education
The Board of Education is elected by popular vote for a period of three
years. It is their job as representatives of the people to prescribe and en-
force rules as prescribed by law. They receive no compensation for their
work, except that they are able to realize that the school is attaining its
objectives. We would like to congratulate each of the board members for their
efforts in helping to provide our community with an excellent school system.

Congratulations seniors on your accomplishment. You have
arrived at a point in your life whereby you can branch off into
many ways. Some lead up and some lead down, some look easier
than others, and some more attractive. Which way are you going?
Do you have a place, an ideal, a goal? lf you do the top will not
be too difficult to attain. Or too long a journey. Have faith in
yourself, your fellow man, and in God, and you will achieve your
goal and enjoy much happiness.
Robert C. Graham
Superintendent
Administration
what do you expect from life? The time has come when you
must analyze the past and plan accurately for the future. Having
spent the past twelve years in preparation, you must now put into
valuable use the education you have gained.
Success will depend upon your wise use of the materials
provided you by your community and parents. Establish your
goal--you can no longer aim at many, there must be one main
goal with all your efforts directed toward it. Whatever your
goal may be, the best answer to success is diligent and intelli-
gent endeavor. If you recognize that "you get from life only
what you put into it," and work hard, success will be yours.
Congratulations and good luck, Graduates.

Class Prophecy
We have just come back from a long trrp rn whrch we covered qurte a lot of terrrtory Our
Journey began one nrght after a vrsrt from the Head Screntrst of the SPACE COMMERCIAL
ROCKET LINES As the head Screntrst who desrgned and made thrs specral rocket was SALLY
HOLTEN from the 1959 graduatron class from Absarokee we thought rt would be nrce to go
wrth her on a trrp to outerspace As our rocket shrp was startrng out we drscovered that we
weren t the only ones gorng on an outerspace excursron for comrng strarght at us was a flyrng
purple people eater Oh no' rt couldn t be' but yes rt was BILLY MCKINNEY oh well we
always knew he was srlly As we reached the moon we were welcomed by the presrdent
NANCY HAGUE She rnformed us that some entertarnment was planned for our stay on t
moon so off we went As we walked along marn street on our way to the fooball game we saw
what we Instantly recognrzed as Mr ROTH drrvrng hrs Burck to work at the cheese mrne Well
we frnally arrrved at the Green Cheese Bowl to watch a game between the Lrttle Green Mars
Men who were coached and managed by an Absarokee alumnr Mr DALE EGGEN and the
Cheesettes who were lead out on the freld by that football hero ERVIN HANKS After we had
left the game and were Just outsrde the arena we met two Medrcrne men sellrng tonrc to
reduce the srze of legs so you would be able to get rnto rocket shrps Of course these two were
prrme examples PETE EVERINGHAM and BOB HERRONEN After all thrs excrtement we were
hungry and trred so we went to the Creator Cafe whrch was owned and managed by SHIRLEY
HOLMES BURKLAND There was a brg attractron that nrght ELVIS MOON PRESLEY and
when he came out he was better known to us as DICK ARTHUN wrth hrs pranrst MICKEY
FLANAGAN They sang and played a selectron wrrtten bv that well known wrrter RICHARD
MICHAEL We all enjoyed therr songs rn fact so much we felt lrke dancrng We got our wrsh
for Band Leader CEB GAUSTAD gave us some real good musrc After drnner we were taken for
a rrde on JEAN RICES ponres these were specral for thev had snow shoe feet so they wouldn t
srnk rn the cheese As we got out rn the country we saw BERNARD SCHAFF tryrng to mrlk the
cow that jumped over the moon He told us hrs motto was you ll never get away from rt
there are cows to be mrlked everywhere yougo As we went deeper rnto the country we drs
cox ered a Robot factory wrth GARY OLSEN as head Robot Machanrc and who should be
truckrng them out but CLARENCE STROBEL rn hrs trusty lrttle Chevy truck As we drove
we arrrved at the Creator Wrestlrng arena where the champronshrp frght between BETTY
YATES and CAROL MARTIN was scheduled Whrle there we were grven a talk on the rll ef
fects of moonshrne by Reverend STEVE CARTER Now rt was trme to return to earth As our
rocket went pass a cloud we looked out and saw Opera srnger ARLISS BRIDGES She was
accompanred by ROBERT GAHAGAN and KEITH ALLINGTON on the harp As we contrnued on
our return trrp we stopped at Mercury whrch had been changed rnto a Bop and Slop Shop for
refreshments The two grrl Rocket Hops that warted on us looked famrlrar We saw the floor
show and then we knew them to be BETTY ROBBINS and DARLENE OTT As we left the shop
we saw not frfr but NONA MCKELVEY walkrng the Pluto not the planet but rt s Mascot
As we returned home we had a long talk about our trrp and decrded that the SENIOR CLASS
