The year is a burst of light in which we first see a iireflectionh of the entire year. Then a closer look iimagnifies" the year for ,us; and finally the light iiillu- minatesi, our relation to the community. Therefore we chose to divide the book into three main sections named Reflection, Magnification, and Illumination. The Magnification section, which is the major part of the book, is divided into three smaller sections: Sports, Student Life, and Knowledge. This yearis Album is the largest iand we hope the besti in Lin- colnis history. We feel you will enjoy it now and for many years to come. abe's album volume XLII Published by the Abeis Album staff: Advisor Mr. Adamson, Commercial Art Teacher Mr. Caronna, Editor-in-Chief Gregg Pearson, Co-Editor Peggy Eich- man. Tom has been a member of the Madison Speed Skating Club for three years and also has been training in Milwaukee, Wis- consin, at the United States Olympic Ice Rink. In competition he has won the Bill Carou Sportsmanship Award. Janet Lynn Janet Lynn, former Lincoln Junior High School student, has come a long way since she left us last year. Now a student at Guilford High School, Janet has added the National Womenk and North American Figure Skating Championships to her list of many wins. 1968-3rdHNational Competion; 1968 -9th-Winter Olympics; 1968- 9th-World Competition; 1969-1st-National Women,s Competition; 1969-lstaNorth American Figure Skating Championship; 1969-World 84 Competition. Qkafers Nancy and Roger Glenn Nancy and Roger Glenn have been skating together in competition since 1966. In these three years they have come a long way. Nancy and Roger placed seventh in the National Competition held at Seattle, Washington this year. Nancy is also a fine singles competitor. Her goal in singles competition is to pass all her tests and do the best possible. She has passed six out of nine tests already. Nancy and Roger would also like to make the winter Olympics in 1972. 1966-lst-Tri-State Competition lNovice Pairsl; 1968-lst-Upper Great Lakes Competition lNovice Pairsl; 1968e3rd-Upper Great Lakes Competition Untermediate Ladiesl; 1968elst-Midwestern Com- petition tNovice Pairsl; 1968 -8th-Midwestern Com- petition Untermediate Ladiesl; 1968elst-Toronto Competition lNovice Pairsl; 1968-3tdeToronto Competition llntermediate Ladiesl;1969elst-Upper Great Lakes Competition Uunior Pairsl; 1969e2ndw Upper Great Lakes Competition lNovice Ladiesl; 19699-3rd-Midwestern Competition Uunior Pairsl; 1969 -6th-Midwestern Competition lNovice Ladiesl; 1969e7th-National Competition. Kathy hopes that some day she, too, will be able to represent the United States in the Olympics. To improve her ability, Kathy skates about forty-eight hours a week. Hard practice coupled with natural ability have helped her to place very well in the Upper Great Lakes Competition, at the Wagon Wheel and St. Paul, Minnesota and also the Midwestern Competition in Denver, Colorado and Green Bay, Wisconsin. It appears that Kathy should continue to be a fine skater in the future. 85 Christmas and Valentinek Day afforded Lincolnites the chance to swing." Those who attended agreed it was a fun way to spend an evening. 87 Love mak ' us forget, But remem er THE M t is har but I finally gather up the c. t see chef 3 c ing shelter, I realize that m that never again will I hesitate to take .
