Associated Student Body The Associated Student Body accomplished many things this year. The revival of the Student Store after a two year absence was of great financial benefit. Students were able to buy everything from Slush Puppies to T-shirts. This success assured many events for the students, such as the homecoming festivities and the Green and White Ball. These activities provided students with good times and memories that will last forever. ASB Advisor Mrs. Ida Williams was a busy lady this year helping the students as always. ASB officers planned a Spirit Week which provided dress up days for everyone. Spirits were high that week and reached a peak at the Homecoming Parade and football game. The Green and White Ball was, as always, a memorable night. In the elegant atmosphere of the San Diego Hotel, the Ball centered around the crowning of Mr. 8L Ms. Lincoln. THE ASSOCIATED STUDENT BODY salutes the year of 1983-1984. We Get ore In '8 Senior class officers: tClockwisc from topj Tylisa Suseberry - President, Losa Taaga - Vice President, Phil Diehl - Senior Advisor, Marilyn Harvey - ASB Representative, Julie Duffield - Treasurer. Senior Class The 1984 senior class was better than ever. In between the Homecoming Dance, Grad Night, Prom, After Prom, the Harbor Cruise, along with trips to Magic Mountain and Knott's Berry Farm, the 1984 seniors somehow found time for everything. They took their SATS and filled out college appli- cations while even managing to keep up with all of their school work. This year is one that no member of the senior class will ever forget . . . one of the hardest, but one of the best. r --W J .R.O.T.C. vnu. if? w 4 M '- The annual staff has caught this once-in-a-lifetime candid of the fun-loving J.R.O.T.C. Our staff came a long and hectic way in producing an annual that is indeed unique. Through the year the feelings of the staff ranged from excite- ment to despair, with stops at all emotional points along the way. We sincerely hope that the students at Lincoln enjoy the book, and we thank all of them and the teachers for their help in producing it. I hope that whatever your time spent here, it has been as rewarding for you as my second term at Lincoln has been for me. Shirley Y. Peterson, Vice Principal Mrs. Peterson ration 1983-8 Vice Principal's Message l Lincoln High School has many fine traditions, chief among them is the standard of academic excellence displayed by students and staff alike. I feel honored to be part of this tradition. The Senior Class deserves much credit for setting the tone for the school and acting as role models for the rest of the studentbody. My best wishes to you as you leave Lincoln and take upon yourselves new challenges. I know you will be able to meet those challenges with the same qualities of excellence and pride that you have shown here. Allan Peck, Vice Principal X 1 1 X QQ L l p F K' San Diego has been my home for the past five years. Three of these years have been spent at Lincoln High School, first as a teacher and now as vice principal. I have watched the school grow and begin to assume lead- ership amongst the schools in San Diego county. We have not yet achieved all that we are capable of achiev- ing, but with determination and hard work we will get there. The future is with us. Dennis W. Coach Hooper inspired our Hornets to win the Central League Championship. The addition of top-notch players such as Steve Taylor and Mario Gonzalez put - a spark in the offense as well as the defense. The Hornets overall record was 6-2-l. They went to the first round of the CIF Playoffs and were defeated by San Pasqual 21-7. The Game was most exciting and the team put up a great fight, struggling for victory until the final minutes of the contest. In spite of their loss, the Hornets are still ifl in the hearts of their fans in the community and at Lincoln High.
