DECA developes work school skills DECA is a program where students go to school half days and work half days, earning a paycheck as well as credits towards graduation. Officers elected for each classs period repres- ented Lincoln at the Delegate Assembly held at Iowa State University October 13-14. DECA clubs gathered to elect state officers and seven area vice- presidents. The officers' trip to the Delegate Assembly was partially financed by fund raisers: spirit towels, buttons, carnations, and key chains. Two years of DECA class is offered. The first year concentrates on how to be a good employee, while the second year expands on management aspects. Books, periodicals, tapes, and other information may be found with the help of Head Librarians Helen Holt and Lillian Cole. Because it's quiet, the library is a popular studying place. I like to come to the library so I can do my work in peace and quietf' Senior Tammy Rice pointed out. Efficient operation of the audio-visual department is in the hands of Mr. Harold Swihart. He is in charge of distributing AV equipment fprojectors, recorders, cameras, etc.j to classrooms with the help of a volun- teer student staff.
