Principal of Abraham Clark High School The Administration Many erudite and inspiring messages have been directed to high school seniors in this country through the past half century. World developments and national crises have frequent- ly colored these statements. To some of the seniors these thoughts were inspirational, to others prophetic and to still others mere hot air . Few of those by-gone seniors faced a period of greater opportunity and, at the same time, one of heavier responsibility than the high school seniors of june 1958. Serious challenges to their country,s way-of-life, its leadership role and per- haps its very existence loom on the horizon. In the face of this, it is not only wasteful of your country's most precious natural resource, man- power, but also it is shirking a grave responsi- bility to be content with anything less than the full development of your individual potentiali- ties. A college education or further technical training for some of you and work with its training opportunities for others will open up doors of opportunity and responsibility.
