Superintendent Plans Remodeling At AHS Thirteen years of steady work in the Abilene Public School System has been characteristic of Mr. E. L. Fiedler, Superin- tendent of Schools. His leadership in this position has been displayed in the many advancements made in the entire system during the year. Heading the list of projects demanding the attention of Superintendent Fiedler during the 1967-68 school year was the completion of converting the former voca- tional area into eight new classrooms. A great deal of this remodeling took place during the summer vacation, leaving only minor installations to be completed in the early part of the school year. Superintendent Fiedler was aided in his various duties by the seven members of the Board of Education. This governing body met regularly on the first Monday of each month to discuss various problems and to make decisions concerning the six schools in the district.
