ROAD SHOW ln March oi i937 the student body ot Abilene High School selected three girls from each oi the classes and three boys oi lunior or Senior classification. The three girls in each class receiving the largest number ot votes were princesses. The girl re- ceiving the highest number ot votes was crowned Oueen ot the Road Show. The three boys receiving the most votes were Bill Tete, Lord High Chancellor: Karl Bonneaux, Prime Minister: Odell Herman, Herald. The Executive Committee was as iollows: Miss Myrtle Trantharn, General Ghair man: Miss Odell lohnson, Assistant Chairman: W. Rainey Owen, Business Manager: Comer Clay, Stage: Miss Beth Coombes, Design: Miss Ouida Clemons, Glee Clubs: Raymond T. Bynum, Orchestra: Miss Pansy Gardner, Publicity: Henry A. Tillett, Sets and Properties: C. B. This program was brought to a brilliant ending by the crowning oi Grace Eliza- beth Compere Oueen ot the i937 Road Show. The stage was set in classical style, and the princesses were in Grecian costumes ot white silk. This was the fitth annual Road Show, the first Road Show in 1933 having been under the general direction ot R. G. Cole. Page 152
