The Mighty Tigers went a prowler and brought home spirit, pride, victory, and Cardinal feathers and dedicated their accomplishments to their Homecoming Royalties. Frogs jumped, players leaped, cheerleaders flipped, the seniors' golden calf flopped, school spirit rose, and the Tigers overall (as the Tigers are) reached great heights during homecoming week. Thursday the Tigers ran through the streets cursing Cardinals and prophesying of Tiger victory. Then they cremated their opponents' mascot in the traditional bonfire. Friday floats paraded and Thursday's prophesies were fulfilled by a 21-12 Tiger victory. At Saturday's Homecoming dance, out- standing-player-award honors were bestowed upon two mighty Tigers, Glen Muirbrook and Rod Mitchell. The dance reached its climax as the Queens and Attendants were crowned. Valerie Christiansen and Christy Johnson tied for Queen and shared the honor. Jan Wahlen was junior attendant; Sudney Hoagland - Soph.; and Barbara Thomas - Frosh. The theme song If' was played and sung by Kerry Poulson and Marie Duffin. Summing it up, Homecoming 1973 was truly a week of happiness, togetherness, and success for Aberdeen High.

Powder Puff Women's Lib in Full Force! While the Junior and Senior girls took off make-up, stockings, and frilly dresses, and put on battle pads and helmets, a few male cheerleaders were doing a little liberating of their own. After a hot fight on the battle-grounds, the Mighty Seniors beat the no- more-Jolly Juniors all to heck! (30-2)
