HELP!!! It is both an honor and a re- sponsibility to be chosen to help in the office or the librar- y. Intelligence, willingness, and good humor are necessary to carry out the work that helps to keep the school running smoothly. Congratulations to office helpers shown CLOCK- WISE FROM THE LEFT, Bettilee McPeek, Gayle Ralphs (secretary), Karen Mayer, Rebecca Mann, Dinah Lewis, Kathy Pinkerton, Laurie Vollmer, Sandra Vargason, and Debra Hurd, who do typing, make dittomaster sheets, an- swer the phone, run errands, prepare the daily bulletin, pick up the absentee slips (to name just a few of their duties) and in their spare time, goof off. BELOW LEFT are library help- ers Martha Klassen, Mrs. Huls (librarian), Diana Lewis, and Sandra Vargason. These girls process new books, work at the circulation desk, file cards and magazines, shelve books, and do many other jobs. Helpers NOT PICTURED include Maude Sanborn, Linda Parrish, Bruce Hager and Bonnie Wood. Debate The members of the debate club this year are: Bruce Claunch, Lee Ann Claunch, Julie Christensen, Cindy Lindhartsen, Cindy Mosbrucker, Neil O'Brien, Blake Reynolds, Julie Reynolds, Paul Whyte, Janis Behrend, Yvonne Pierce, and Janee Hansen. The debaters attended the SEIC, Ricks, and District tournaments. The communications staff is under the supervision of Mr. McDermid and fur- nishes a real service to the school. Members help with preparing lighting and loudspeakers for special events, running projectors, and handling electrical problems that arise. Our thanks this year go to Scott Fames, Morgan Evans, and Marty Luther. Communications 27
