To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under the heaven. A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant and a time to uproot the plant. A time to kill and a time to heal; a time to break down and a time to build up. A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance. A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace and a time to be far from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace. Mrs. Woods has helped our class through two years of English and the freshman girls through P. E. With her patience and understanding, Mrs. Woods has given up her own time to help with the Pep Club. She chaperones buses going to ball games so the girls are able to go. Thank you, Mrs. Woods, for everything. I In Appreciation With deep appreciation the annual staff would like to give their vote of thanks to Mrs. Stevens. Despite the ruined layouts and pictures that have to be retaken, she never gets discour- aged. When the annual staff is ready to give up, Mrs. Stevens isn't. She's the one that really keeps the ball rolling. Next year a new annual staff will be elected. Perhaps they will be lucky enough to re- ceive your guidance. 5 Homecoming The annual Homecoming event was during basket- ball season this year. The Queen and her attendants were crowned between the Varsity and Junior Varsity games on Dec. 9. After a great Tiger victory, the Tiger Club and the Pep Club sponsored a Homecoming dance. The theme of the dance was Moonlight and Roses. Right: Queen, Carla Harris. Top: S, Wahlen, A. Taylor, A. Driscoll, M. Wasia, C. Harris, S. Nelson, M. Brewington. Middle: C. Thumon C. Duffin, N. Marryin’ Sam and Marryin' Sadie (Jay and Joyce Lloyd) were the stars of the show as they mar- ried couples for the evening of Sept. 24. 13 Health Careers Day Right: Mr. Powell and Mr. Hutchinson. Aberdeen High School was chosen out of all the schools in Idaho to have a Medical Career Day. The Career Day is a new program sponsored by a federal grant given to the Idaho Medical Association. It is an experiment to find out if this type of program will influence students in their choice of careers. The students were privileged to have people in the medical profession talk to them. They helped the students learn more about their professions. Senior Ball December 28 15 ???l 2! ! Gordy, you say the cutest things. A Time to trim a tree. Even though they did not finish first, they did have some impres- sive matches. The wrestlers did do something that neither the football nor basketball teams could do, and that was to beat A. F. both times they played. Lorin Lords became the first wrestler in the team's brief history to qualify to wrestle in the State Cham- pionships. 32 R. Miles, J. Prestidge A. Lords, R, Thomas S. Theirs is a time to move on. 36 Cheerleaders It was said that Aberdeen High School was low in spirit and pride, but we can assure you that it was not the fault of the seven girls on this page. MAY 25th After twelve years of study the Class of 1967 finally witnessed their own gradu- ation. As David Warner led them through Good-bye Old High their minds were flooded with the memories, hopes, joys, and fears that only a graduate can feel. David Stevens gives his Valedictory address. President LaVon Warner was the guest speaker at the Baccalaureate exercises on May 21. His message followed the graduation theme A Time to Move On. CLASS NIGHT . . . MAY 23, is perhaps the most enjoyable of all the events during the week of Graduation. The Class Prophecy is read (by Iris Driscoll and Reed Bair), the Wills are willed (by Margo Heaney and Dale Harms), the Class History is brought back to life (by Lois Smith and Berton Sainz), the Senior Who's Who is read and awards are given. Sr. Play Hob Goblin House was presented April 5, by the Senior class. The play was filled with thrills and chills which kept the audience on the edge of their seats all night. Jr. Play Dino” a play about a delinquent teenage boy, was portrayed by the Juniors, April 27. The play was given in the round on the gym floor with the audience seated in the bleachers. Roses for the director. Assemblies Throughout the year each class presents an assembly of their talent. The talent is usually in various forms and all shapes and sizes. This year the Senior class added a touch of Vaudeville when they presented their as- sembly on the gym floor. All High At the end of each school year an assembly is given for the student body where awards are presented and new student body officers installed. After the assembly, yearbooks are dis- tributed and the rest of the afternoon is spent autographing them. • Jr. Prom Somewhere My Love was the theme chosen for the Junior Prom, April 29. The Junior class started a new tradition of nominating candidates for a King and Queen of the Prom. The candidates for Queen were: Judy Michaelson, Joye Hawes, Christine Worthington, and Kay Pratt. The candidates for King were: Kent Shelman, Gregg Buffi, Randy Miles, and David Wah- len. The winners were: Judy Michealson and Kent Shelman. F. F. A. BANQUET (shown on page opposite) The highlight of the F. F. A. year is the annual Parent-Son Banquet. At this time the out-going Chapter Sweetheart. Iris Driscoll, welcomes in the new Sweetheart, Vicki Thompson, and the out- going president, Ronald Shipley, gives the in-coming president, Danny Behrend, a hearty hand shake. The Juniors honored the Seniors with a yummy turkey dinner at the traditional Jr. Sr. Banquet. Farewell to Yesterday was the theme for the Banquet and Alvin Funk was the guest speaker. This year John Richard received the coveted State Star Farmer Award. Track Team Back Row: Coach O'mera, R. Tiesen, K. Thornley, B. Saiz, B. Martinsen, R. Espindola, B. Owens, D. Behrend, E. The new state FTA Chairman, Kathy Clayson, is shown with her campaign manager, Mike Stoker. The four boys who attended the American Legion Boys State in Boise are: Paul Muirbrook, Danny Behrend, David Wahlen, and Robert Jones. MAY 16 - 19 CLASS PARTIES Just as annually as the birds fly south for the winter, a caravan of buses can be seen journeying to the cool refreshing springs at the Natatorium. It's Class Party time again. Within four days the entire school will have had their share in the fun, gone home dripping wet perhaps, to anxiously await next year's Class Party to mark the close of another year.
