Contents Faculty Sports Classes Activities Organizations Music Foreword Every yearbook, in order to meet the approval of the students for whom it is made, must be a combination of many things. It must record hopes, aims, and ideals as well as being a reminder of things gone by. And so it should be, for without a tangible record to jog the memory, the important events of our wonderful, carefree days in high school might be all too soon forgotten in the entangling details of adult life. To live in the past for the sake of the past is futile, but to enjoy recalling past ex- periences is natural and pleasant. Now we are young and concerned with the things of youth. Life holds for us the promise of today and the hope of new and better things to come tomorrow. In this edition of TIGER TRACKS, we emphasize the what is and the what will be, as the Senior Class proudly presents Aberdeen High School's, NEW HORIZONS FOR 1962. THE EDITOR 3 Dedication Tiger Club Since it was founded in 1930, by Coach Bill Clegg, the TIGER CLUB has stead- ily become one of the leading student organizations at A.H.S. Through all-out member participation in various club activities, the Tigers have been responsible for the financing of acoustical tile and glass backboards for the gymnasium, lights for the football field, and much of the athletic equipment used by the school. Much of the credit for the club’s success must be given to a former coach at Aberdeen, Mr. Chris Leston, who for 15 years sponsored this club, made up of ath- letic lettermen, and by preserving its high standards throughout the years, made it an honor and a privilege for any boy to be a member. And so it is with a deep sense of pride and admiration, that we, the Seniors, dedicate this, our yearbook, to the TIGER CLUB.
