Homecoming Queen, Kay Payne, rides off the football
field in a convertible after being crowned. That evening
she was again crowned during the Homecoming dance.
This dance turned out to be the most enjoyable semi-
formal dance that Aberdeen had had in a long time.

On the field for the crowning before
the game are the Queen, Kay Payne,

The other attendants who are not

Mae Denbow, and Beverly Bounds.
Each girl had two senior football
players as escorts.

This is one of the floats in the
Homecoming parade. It represents our
record of three wins in three Home-
comings and asks whether anyone thinks
they can break our record. The scores
of the previous games were the follow-
ing: against Havre de Grace 119549
20-O, against Sherwood H9553 32-0,
against Havre de Grace again 119565

Sherwood again, we defeated them 13-7.

Eagles Continue Homecoming Winning Streak
This years Homecoming, as the other three in the past, was highly successful in all respects.
For the first time, the pep rally, bon-fire, and 'tPowder Bowl" game on Friday night attracted
enough people to rival the parade, game, and dance of the following day. However, the events
held on Friday will never outclass the Homecoming game with its crowning of the Homecoming
Queen on Saturday. This years Homecoming Queen, as chosen by the football team, was Kay
Payne. Preceding the game was the crowning of the queen, performed by the co-captains of the
football team, Tony Ulehla and Ronnie Rhinehart. The game itself was a thriller. At the half
we were losing to Sherwood 7-O, but in the second half we sprung to life and came from behind
to win 13-7. This comeback victory heightened the spirits of everyone. Actually, we had to
wing we hadn't lost a Homecoming game yet, so we had to keep the record going.

Hard Work Produces Memorable Variety Show
The Variety Show, "Will Dexter Dingle Spoil TV?", was a howling success. It was a first, in
the sense that all dialogue was written by students. Credit must be given to Miss Janice
Mellinger and Mr. Charles Baker for their direction of the show. The show itself is centralized
about Dexter Dingle CWhitie Perkinsl, who comes to a television studio seeking a show to
sponsor. However, everybody at the studiois too busy to listen to him, so he gets buffeted about
from scene to scene. Every place he goes, he causes pandemonium. Some of the more
memorable scenes are the following: "Late, Late, Late Show", "Quiz Shown, Boo toothpaste
advertisement, bar room scene, and "Mike Mallace Interview."
An essential part of every Variety Show is the girl's kick
chorus. Here they are pictured during a practice session.
