Homecoming Queen, Kay Payne, rides off the football field in a convertible after being crowned. That evening she was again crowned during the Homecoming dance. This dance turned out to be the most enjoyable semi- formal dance that Aberdeen had had in a long time. By Defeating Sherwood 13-7 On the field for the crowning before the game are the Queen, Kay Payne, and two of her attendants, Kay Kane and Marie Davis, and their escorts. The other attendants who are not pictured were Janet Fabrick, Anna Mae Denbow, and Beverly Bounds. Each girl had two senior football players as escorts. , L D ,ty A A This is one of the floats in the Homecoming parade. It represents our record of three wins in three Home- comings and asks whether anyone thinks they can break our record. The scores of the previous games were the follow- ing: against Havre de Grace 119549 20-O, against Sherwood H9553 32-0, against Havre de Grace again 119565 39-0. And this year, 1957, against Sherwood again, we defeated them 13-7. - ln..

Eagles Continue Homecoming Winning Streak This years Homecoming, as the other three in the past, was highly successful in all respects. For the first time, the pep rally, bon-fire, and 'tPowder Bowl" game on Friday night attracted enough people to rival the parade, game, and dance of the following day. However, the events held on Friday will never outclass the Homecoming game with its crowning of the Homecoming Queen on Saturday. This years Homecoming Queen, as chosen by the football team, was Kay Payne. Preceding the game was the crowning of the queen, performed by the co-captains of the football team, Tony Ulehla and Ronnie Rhinehart. The game itself was a thriller. At the half we were losing to Sherwood 7-O, but in the second half we sprung to life and came from behind to win 13-7. This comeback victory heightened the spirits of everyone. Actually, we had to wing we hadn't lost a Homecoming game yet, so we had to keep the record going. 5333321 Zilgirsty gridgisrs head-for the nearest Cheerleaders lead the students grouped Us 3 50015 ai I 9 game 15 QVGF- 0119 Of around the bon-fire in cheers. In the "Late, Late, Late Show", the monster captures and kills one of - the British scientists seeking a forbidden gold idol. Hard Work Produces Memorable Variety Show The Variety Show, "Will Dexter Dingle Spoil TV?", was a howling success. It was a first, in the sense that all dialogue was written by students. Credit must be given to Miss Janice Mellinger and Mr. Charles Baker for their direction of the show. The show itself is centralized about Dexter Dingle CWhitie Perkinsl, who comes to a television studio seeking a show to sponsor. However, everybody at the studiois too busy to listen to him, so he gets buffeted about from scene to scene. Every place he goes, he causes pandemonium. Some of the more memorable scenes are the following: "Late, Late, Late Show", "Quiz Shown, Boo toothpaste advertisement, bar room scene, and "Mike Mallace Interview." An essential part of every Variety Show is the girl's kick chorus. Here they are pictured during a practice session. y Q E be A 5 2: 35 . g " i 5 1 .l . ..
