Miss Elder and Mrs. Dawson, the sponsors, with the help of some
seventy-five Jr. Kayettes plowed into this year with such activities
ranging from school to nation wide activities. In the school, they con-
tributed their skill in selling concessions during Wrestling season, spon-
sored a dance, and brightened your Valentine Day by have given you a
chance to have sent a "singing valentine". City wide, they sold Christ-
mas Holly, and went caroling at Briar Hill Old Folks Home around
Christmas time, sold Buddy Poppies for the VFW, and sponsored BYOC,
"Bring Your Own Can". This was where each student was asked to bring
one can or more of canned goods which in turn were given to someone
in Garden City who needed it for Christmas. This turned out quite well.
Nation wide activities included adopting an orphan. Kayettes was
an service organization that we couldn 't have done without.

74-75 school year. The Stuco sponsored a "Sock I-lop"
in the fall, decorated the school at Christmas, and
planned an all-school talent show. The council was
Community minded when they collected for the mus-

Learning to live better today so that our lives and
those of our families will be better tomorrow was the
motto that the seventy F. H. A. members and their
sponsors, Mrs. Hands, Miss Newell, and Miss Robinson
strived for. They were not only helpful to the school
by sponsoring such activities as a Halloween Carnival,
Barn Dance, Ma-Pa- Me-Supper, and a F.H.A. spon-
sored school dance, but to the community by helping
disadvantaged and elderly people, and they also col-
lected Betty Crocker and Campbell soup labels. To-
day's members are our all-American best, Future
Homemakers of America.

The Future Farmers of America organization,
sponsored by Mr. Dru Richards, helped the stu-
dents to become better farmers. They went on
field trips and learned to care for animals and
crops. At the present time they are still learning
about farming procedure, but in the future they .
will probably be the best farmers ever. , 5
