34. ,466.,ff Band The Abbott band, under the direction of Mr. Lulek, provided fine music For many activities during the school year. They participated in the Christmas assembly and presented an assembly program in March. Other activities included participation in the band solo and ensemble clinic and in the music festival during the spring months. UA. J4L60ff Galen,-a The Abbott orchestra, directed by Mrs. Jean Morgan Hove, contributes much to Abbott life. In September the string ensemble played for a stringed instruments demonstration. The group took part in the Christmas Cantata and played for P.T.A. and an assembly. In the spring they joined the Larsen and Ellis orchestras to form a combined group of one hundred thirty-five players to perform at the Northern Illinois Grade School Festival at Maine Township High School .
