It is made up of eighteen seniors who have expressed an interest in various phases of dramatics. Our first undertaking was the comedy " The Women Have Their Way, " which was successful as well as fun. This year we chose to do " Pygmalion " by George Bernard Shaw. The acting and planning were done by the members of the class, and with the expert advice of Miss Hale it was an enriching experience which put the finishing touches on a v fine first year.

Have you ever noticed an efficient girl rushing about on Wednesdays? That ' s " Cookie " Holden, Editor-in-chief of Courant. Courant is our school literary magazine, to which the whole school makes contributions. " Get them in by Monday! " is our watchword, and with gentle pressure from our Editor and wise guidance from our advisor, Miss Edmonds, we do manage to collect enough material for two issues a year. I ' m sure the board will always have memories of sitting in the rarefied atmosphere of a small, stuffy room on the fourth floor of Draper with the geomet- ric patterns of pipes and sloping ceilings before our eyes, as we wait to be inspired or discuss the merits of someone else ' s work of art. Twice a year a small tornado of activity involves the editorial board, from which we emerge ink- stained, happy and proud of the fruit of our labors, an issue of Courant. S. Wormley, M. A. Holden, L. WORLD UNIVERSITY SERVICE " Sign on Stu-G. Board for W . U. 5. " This is a familiar sign at Abbot. The school belongs to a world organization entitled the World University Service, which helps to build centers of academic research and fur- nish them with necessary supplies. The girls at Abbot are able to aid the less fortunate people of the world through this organiza- tion. % ft Q P Fronf Row: J. McLean, L. Sulzbacher, C. Straton, Head of W. U. S.; F. Fenn, C. Smith.
