So much of that writing business, pencils and what-not . . . . Church, M. Woolverton ■ ' fi C. Cox. M. Belknap 66 Mrs. Reeves, our adviser and friend. Once , upon a time there lived at Abbot a group of girls under the name of The Circle Staff. In the particular year of 1954. the st.iff was larger than usual, having as its distinguished honorary members, Winnie-thcPooh, Christopher Robin, Pig- let, Kanga (and Roo) and Rabbit with ALL of his friends and relations. Without fail each Wednesday afternoon, this merry group gathered in its Draper Den. " Thump, thump, thump " went their brains thinking, and their heads nodded to and fro at the wise suggestions of their helpful advisor, Mrs. Reeves. Busy as bees and humming a hum as they worked, they planned, photographed, sketched and wrote, always eyeing the oncoming deadline. Pooling their " Very Little Brains, " they had fun working together. And now their book is finished. Here it is. THEY MADE IT! Apologies to A. A. Milne. S. Jones, L. Carroll, M. L. Duffy, J. The members of the group assist the librarian in many of the details of library keeping. The successful efforts of the committee contribute much to the smooth running of the library. A new organization this year is the Blue Key Society. It aids Miss Hearsey in welcoming parents and their daughters to Abbot. This gives them an idea of school life through the girls ' point of view. We hope to have set a precedent thac will remain successful. BLUE KEY A. Hunt, L. Carroll, P. deChoI- no}{y, K. Keating, L. Garrettson, ]. Wheeler, A. T orwood, Chair- man: P. Prial, A. Heiflett, P. CDURANT Twice a year, hy dint of frantic searching for material, last-minute proof reading, and wild racking of the brain, we of the Courant Board turn out another sHm masterpiece of literary genius. The product of much hard work en the part of its members or any other kind soul who has contributed, it owes much of its success to the able sponsorship of Miss Sweeney. In spite of a rather unliterary atmosphere in our garret nx)m, i.e., pipes, radiators, suf- focating heat, we have managed, like other struggling artists before us, to meet c-ur dc.idlines. We hope that future boards will survive the hectic weeks before publication and will find, as we have, a deep reward in the fruits of their labor. B. Gram ow, L. Garretson, V. Brcdeiir, E. Easton M.
