It was great to see a pair of pants! By dim flashlights in closets we crammed Nervously studying for on-coming exams. Chaotic exam week — " What if I fail? " Then with a roar — Seniors to Intervale! " Cheerio, here I go, " relaxation, sports and cigs, too! In North Conway tradition we heard " Winnie the Pooh " . February From that " little bit of heaven " we returned in sad array Reading " True Love " or sleeping in sloppy display. Miss Hale and Miss Goodwin involved in psychiatry With their unusual maids gave a great show of riotry. To the great height of " Suicide " we avid skiiers climbed For the first spree of skiing for which we had pined. With hair-curlers, blue-jeans and creamed faces a mess The prom decorators made posters in frantic distress. But Saturday dawned a beautiful day ; Tea dancing, promenading — all so gay, That sad were the farewells of dates on Sun- day. A million Valentines frilly and pretty Arrived on the fourteenth — each with a ditty. " Get to the source of your poet ' s themes! " By the time papers were due, we said verse in our dreams. Baronial now open — the meals how delish! Food, fire, and vie — what more could you wish? March " Eet vas vunderful! " we screamed, " How rich! " With Lee, Eva, and Dottie in " Tovarich. "

P «■ (As if winning a race that we all had run). And after ' ring ceremony ' and Miss Hear- sey ' s wise talk We with our class rings on pink clouds did walk. Before the curtain rose, marching up the aisle The Senior-Mids came singing " Onward! " with a big smile. With " servants " and " Fanny " and each one concerned The flame of success through Davis Hall burned. The A.C.A. gave their Yuletide service. The girls looked nice, but were oh, so nervous. Lee told a story, ' neath the candlelight glow, And outside, our Circle was spread with new snow. Our last week sped by, filled with anticipa- tion; Each day brought us closer to Christmas vacation ! Our last yummy dinner came to a song-filled ending And so to MeKeen rooms our way we were wending To sing Yuletide carols of the season ' s good cheer And wind up shouting " Happy New Year! " We awoke in the morn to the clear carol- singing Of choir girls, by candlelight, Christmas joy bringing. We hastened to leave still rubbing our eyes For dawn ' s-early trains at five we did rise. Bags and trunks clogging up the front hall We called " Adios " and " Greetings, you all! " January From merry Christmases and grand celebra- tion, We returned to school ready for another vacation ! Patty and Mile. Baratte with bad colds and fever Were late to return, as were Sonny and Eva. We quickly got back into the old swing Hearing the breakfast and lights-out bell ring! More talent was shown — you ' d think it was vital, The way that they squirmed at the student recital. We thought with Scholatic Apts. it was bad, But with College Boards we really went mad! The Juniors had their parties, while the March winds blew W egot spring-fever and longed to bethrough. A Y alk Through the Woods with wee Mr. Boyd Of the birds and their habits one night we hoid. " We have here a fine dilemma, " cried in terrible fury The vigorous chorus of " Trial by Jury. " Sunday church at P. A. and spring was in bloom, But next day snow again, and Monday gloom. No history homework? Don ' t be silly! Cartoons for the weekend — " Mine was a dilly! " Wid de Preacher Russell, and the Boogie Baby on the down beat Miss Bockstedt and chorus gave us a Satur- day night treat. Now! Swing from that bar! Hang from your feet! Rock your horse higher at the Gym Meet. Next morn at dawn there is no delay To rise and shine for vacation — away ! April On vacation, friend March went out like a lamb. On April eleventh we returned to exams And bells and books — and of course, a good rest (With blue-circled eyes we were not at our best!). Wednesday, sleepily, we started our classes In hand were not cocktail, but horn-rimmed glasses! With tennis, lacrosse, riding, and baseball. Feeling " younger than springtime ' to sports we would crawl. The artists. Friskin, Arosa, and Coon Entertained us ' neath a Saturday moon. Our Easter finery a mere week old We paraded to church in mode a la bold. The days become longer and then we all knew
