We Seniors Returning — with summer tans; readjusting to rules and bells and brain fatigue; a bit confused, but anxious to prove our worth as Seniors. Ouk Picnic — with hot dogs and sand; a bright blue world and a pounding surf; really being a class as a whole. Sudden Realization — with our first Sunday coffee; " Senior meeting after lunch. . . " ; poetry class and Senior play try outs. Our Parlor — always bulging; radio blaring; sagging sofa and bulletin-board reminders; a room of our own — what would we do without it! Senior Lights — when we fought the Revolution, wrote the Constitution, and issued Green- backs; " To be or not to be " . . .je rous en prie . . . Ca(C10) 2 . . .le gusta mucho; bitten nails and blue-circled eyes. Those Saturday Leaves — with the first inhale; hasty and hysterical lunches; windblown hair; Bonwit ' s and the subway; tearing for the 5:14: weary bones, exciting packages, smiling faces. Big Days — we squealingly got our photo proofs; the Ring Ceremony when the gold bands with 1950 slipped on our fingers; backstage bustling and the Senior Play; Intervale: Paradise regained! Prom plans — then suddenly the male invasion, yellow roses, good-byes; " How many graduation invitations will I need? " ; hibernating to Baronial and fireside chats; gown-fittings; College Boards and wobbly knees; the Bazaar; replies from colleges; then all at once our last picnic, the Garden Party, Draper Dram, the final concert. Unforgettable — morning chapel that means so much; shadows across the snow on the circle; cheeseburgers at Ford ' s; that last-minute curl before calling hour; dinners at Sunset; bird walks in the great outdoors; Source themes and living in the library; minute bank accounts; Sunday Vespers; the Maple Walk in Spring- time. . . Graduation — with eyes bright but brimming; blue gowns and pink roses; an endless march up the aisle; diplomas and congratulations; tearful farewells, bulging suitcases, mingled joy and sorrow, and many memories.
