Our first busi- ness was to elect our officers, who have done their jobs so well. At the Thanksgiving and Christinas services we led the school in the traditional hymns and sang some as a group. Since the sudden death of Mr. Howe during Christmas vaca- tion, Miss Friskin has directed us in the rehearsals for our con- certs with Exeter and Andover. With the coining of commence- ment, Spring Fidelio took over and we seniors stepped out to let the underclassmen continue our Fidelio. fDeceased December 16. 1948

One of upon starting the first things we did our glorious Senior the Circle. year was to begin Knowing nothing about how a yearbook is formed, we soon began to learn under the able guidance of Mrs. Reeves and our printer, Mr. Cole. Draper classroom was the scene of our staff meetings each Monday afternoon to discuss our problems and inspirations. The hardest part of our job was to get started, de- ciding upon the theme, layout and drawings, but with Elly urging us on, and the realization that the deadline was drawing near, we quickly got into the swing of things; the result is in your hands. This year, the performing fleas got off to a wonderful start with five new members. Despite our lost lines, lost cues, and late appearances, A.D.S., under the direction of Miss Hale, pro- duced Letters to Lucerne. Dulcy, the Senior play, was great fun to give. Rehearsals were a constant repetition of Is-A-Bell ' s " Louder " (until she broke) and our director ' s agile leaps from the floor to the stage. We all want to thank Miss Hale for the understanding help she has given us in dramatics and for the real part she has taken in our Senior year.
