Class History When we entered Abbey House as Abbot Preps, we felt that we were indispens- able to Abbot life, even though we did Sit in back in chapel seats. Our memories of that year are the trek through the hockey field to Will Hall and the famous song Vegetables Are Very Good. The next year we put away childish things (in- cluding our back -row seats) and became juniors, adding to our numbers in Sherman, Abbey, and Homestead. Our amazing abilities were shown as we danced merrily around the May Pole on the circle. As Senior-Mids, we at last were able to go to the Prom, and soon afterwards, we had the responsibility of the Bazaar. At the end of the vear we were initiated into the senior parlor and bidding the seniors a fond farewell, we looked forward with great expectations to our senior year. Upon our return in Sep- tember we were greeted with many new privileges and responsibilities : the senior parlor, our senior picnic with smoking, hot dogs, and sand ; our frequent trips to Boston, and finallv be- fore Christmas, our senior rings. After vacation, we settled down to the serious business of studying for mid-years, with visions of Wellesley, Vassar, and Smith floating through our heads. This task over, we iJU flung our cares aside and took oft ' for Intervale, where the brave went half way and the timid took to the ski-mobile (without skis). In the spring, amid a wild flurry of events, gradu- ation was upon us. With families and friends around us, we bid our last farewell to Abbot. [33]
