The Student Government, acting in the interests of the Student Body, presented their views and ideas to the administration for ap- proval, and then put them on a working basis to benefit student activities; but direct con- tact between the individual student and the administration was frequent. Mr. Drummond helped find solutions to curriculum problems facing students. Counselling personal prob- lems and future educational plans was the task of Mr. Misenheimer. Mr. Boone and Mrs. Gilmore handled the many excuses that had to be signed. Mr. Gaskey gets his homeroom students’ library notices. Kaye Overcash helps keep the town informed of the school ' s activities. Page Thirteen

The banging lockers, the classroom discus- sions, the chatter in the halls, the cheering fans echo back an elongated reflection im- printed now in our memories. All the big, exciting moments stand out; but a larger, sturdier, everlasting image comes from the everyday life of learning with others. Classmates’ faces, teachers ' words, friends ' smiles, books we ' ve read, lessons we’ve learned and games we’ve played— all blend in a warm, enduring reflection of our year at Brown, 1960 - 61 . ’61 graduates won’t forget the memorable Washington trip. It really had its exciting moments.
