79 ze YI' I2 C' I. P G S YT Q .5 .S G Q L,.ig MR. LESTER W. MCCOY, Principal It is with great pride that I Write this, my first message to the Trojan of A. C. jones High School. I am proud to be a part of this fine school, and it is a fine school because you, the students, have made it so. Our community has wisely and generously provided us with the finest of facilities, you, with splendid cooperation, good citizenship, and enthusiastic school spirit have molded a student body to match these wonderful facilities. It has been a real pleasure to work and to learn with you. The most valuable possession any nation has is its youth. The future of this nation lies in your hands. Our country and the World need a stalwart and an educated youth in the battle against the forces of ignorance and intolerance. Our sincere hope is that your school has been able to help prepare you for the life ahead. This splendid 1957 Trojan will bring fond memories of this school year for many years. My hearty congratulations to the Annual Staff and the sponsor for a job well done. iwtz, La. we Lester XV. McCoy

MR. ARCHIE A. ROBERTS z1!0ez'1k2fe120Qz2fi9 liiessaye The memories recorded in your school annual and in your mind grow priceless as the years go by. We are each responsible to see and to recognize the opportunities that open to us along our path of life. Your enjoyment of school life is closely related to the extent to which you take advantage of the opportunities for learning in the classrooms and for leadership in student affairs. You are busy each day building an attitude, a reputation, a moral code -a set of standards by which you must live and be willing to be judged by self and by fellow man. You are not just preparing to live in the World of adults tomorrow, but what you are doing and thinking now is important in forming what that world of adults will be for you. As a member of your school faculty, I hope that we can have at least a small part in making a brighter future for you and those who shall follow you through the Beeville ddaiaaf- Public Schools.
