Babblin in arts Art students are given a freedom in their work that many of us don't encounter. The art student isn't hampered by due dates and strict unindividualized assign- ments. He is allowed to work at his own pace on projects that best suit his creati- vity. A budding artist at Groves is offered a wide variety of fields to explore. l-le can watercolor in painting, make a chess set in jewelry, a batik in design on fabric, or a cookie jar in pottery. Besides working, the art students take trips to the Art Institute and sponsor dances.
