IYAIDIDA IIGMA 111303 QW m ga xy The first chapter of Kappa Sigma was formed by five friends and brothers in 1869, at the University of Virginia, The national fraternity traces it's original founding to a European background in the city of Bolonga in 1400. The Alpha Omega chapter of Kappa Sigma is the last National chapter to be organized on the campus, founded here in 1897. Since that time, 377 men have heard the fraternity ritual and pledged their loyalty to the patraotic and pioneer spirit of the National organization through the portals of Alpha Omega. The executive offices govern 107 chapters in the United States and one in Canada. ' Mrs. Frank Vanlandingham for the past nine years has been the gracious housemother of Alpha Omega.
